Diffuse-interface modeling and simulation of complex multiphase reactive flows

柴振华,华中科技大学数学与统计学院教授、副院长,数学与应用学科交叉创新研究院副院长,国家级青年人才计划入选者。近年来,主要从事介观格子Boltzmann方法、复杂多相流体系统的扩散界面模型、高性能计算等方面的研究。至今在SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, Multiscale Modeling & Simulation, Journal of Computational Physics, Physica D, Physical Review E, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Physics of Fluids, International Journal of Multiphase Flow等国内外权威期刊发表学术论文160余篇SCI他引4100余次H指数为40(数据源于Web of Science核心数据库),承担国家自然科学基金国家重点研发计划等国家级课题10余项

Abstract:In this talk, we first present a thermodynamically consistent and conservative diffuse-interface model for complex gas-liquid-solid multiphase flows where a new free energy functional is introduced. Then, this model is further extended to the problems with phase change and heterogeneous reaction. Based on the developed diffuse-interface model, the fluid interface dynamics, the wetting property of the solid surface, and the heterogeneous reaction can be described simply. To test the present diffuse-interface model, we develop a lattice Boltzmann method and conduct some simulations of benchmark problems. It is found that the results are in good agreement with the analytical, numerical and experimental data. Finally, the present diffuse-interface lattice Boltzmann method is also adopted to study complex gas-liquid-solid flows, freezing processes, and chemical reactions in porous media.
